Well, I know it's not money so you could say it's my model like looks, my
fabulous sense of style, or the charm of Mr. Bond himself. Take your pick,
but if you were to ask my HONEST opinion I think I would have to
say........BOOZE! People will do just about anything when their all liquored
up. Including trying to blow up 25 yr old motorcycles on a race track!

Naw, You got to give me crap. I was being sarcastic. She couldn't
take it no
more, she hopped on the back of Sam's to ride the last 1/2 of the
way back
home. Her pillow was pretty flat by the last leg of the ride. I'm
trying to
convince her to ride her own. She goes back and forth with it. I
even told
her she can ride the U1KG if she wishes, that was before the sidecar
idea.
Even still...

By the way, Mark I'll be calling you.

somethin
out enjoyable for you both. ;-)

Well, Greg did lose a flip flop on the way, we had to substitute

scuba flipper thing. I told him to tie it to his ankle so he
wouldn't lose
it but he don't listen.
My speedo doesn't fit like it used to, got me out of a ticket
though. The
cop said he liked my stripes...?
AND we figured out that Holly just LOVES her pillow on long rides.
Guess we
embarrassed Sam, he stayed back alot. AIN'T that right Sam?

I made it out to Grattan with my son on Saturday, so I missed Kev
and his
posse. We had a great time. It was good to meet Ken Pitts, JB,
Gordon and
Ace along with Dave Fulkerson. Kev is right the Guzzis kicked ass.
Dave
just increased his lead on every lap on the MG Cycle bike. He won
both
classes he competed in on Saturday. The MG Cycles guys were great
and
treated Darren and I like part of the team. I knew I was in the
right
place when I saw JB's basic black Ambo with the ammo can
saddlebags.
 Only
one like that.

We also had a good time over at the vintage motocross too. Darren
is
 13
and into vintage European dirt bikes (I don't know where he gets
it
from). No Guzzis there, but there was an Aermacchi and also some
crazy on
a Norton twin.

I took some pictures too. I'll try to get 'em up on the web soon.
It
 was
a great event, very laid back. They even had an everybody's
invited
 pig
roast afterwards.

How was the ride, Kev? Looked to be some great roads around
Grattan,
 but
it was way too hot for me. Were you guys riding in normal sport
bike
apparel, swim trunks, flip-flops and no shirts

Thanks for the photos John. Sorry we missed you. I rode up
sunday

 with some
people. I only had a throwaway. I have no idea if they will turn
out. I'll
have to dig out the real camera for mid ohio.
What a great day. Seeing those old bikes on the track was just
fucking
awsome(sorry, no other word to describe it). I felt like a kid.
When
 we
first arrived, we could hear the bikes roaring around the track.
We
 pulled
up to the fence, shut the bikes down to watch the race. Let me
tell
 you,
When I saw that Indian ROAR past us with that tank shift I had
goosebumps,
and was like a giddy little kid. I was yelling out GO!MAN!GO! As
I

 turn to
share my excitement with my girl I noticed she was looking at
me

 with a
mixture of confusion and the look like I just confirmed to her
that
 I was
nuts. Don't know who was on that thing but it set the tone for
the

 whole
day.
Finally met Ken Pitts. Great Guy. The bike certainly ain't
pretty

 but that's
exactly what I liked about it. The thing has one purpose in it's
life and
that's to get Ken to the finish line as quick as possible. Took
1st
 twice?!
Congrats! Damn, there's nothing better than seeing a loop tear
up
 a
 track!
I do regret not meeting the MG guys. Gordon I heard you were
there,
 I looked
around a couple of times but no dice. I did see the bike, nobody
around. One
of those things. Maybe another time.
I don't know enough about all the racers to give a full run
down,

 but it
really seemed that Guzzi won the day that weekend.

Mostly of M G Cycle's Dave Fulkerson, plus Charley Cole and Jeff
Gundlach. There's a few others in there too. I missed Ken
Pitts's

 race,
sorry Ken.
I didn't stay for Sunday, only Saturday. Too hot for me. The
guys

 racing
were really cooking out there.
