Some of the sealed batteries are not built for high dicharge rates . The
ones that are work very well. I am using a high rate 32 Amp Hour on my
72 Eldo. and so far I am very pleased with the performance.

There are 28 -32 Amp hour sealed batteries that are not rated for high
discharge . The internal connections can fail long before the battery is
used up. Just be sure when selecting a battery it is the high rate
style.

There are remote vented lawn and garden batteries, I had been using one
up until yesterday. Not as easy to find as the regular cap vented ones
though. I installed a "maintenance free" l&g battery which is completely
sealed as far as I can tell. The new one is 365 cca vs. 220 cca for the
old one - the old Ambo really spins over now! Cheers,

Charlie

I personally don't like to use the
garden tractor batteries because they lack a proper remote vent.
