3 quarts exacly puts mine at the half way every time. Wonder why the
differance, differance in dipstick markings? hmmm....

I run Castrol 20/50 & measure in 2.5 quarts, which puts the oil level about
half way between the low & high mark on the dip stick. Guzzi's don't like
running with the oil level up near the high mark, in my experience any oil
above the half way mark just gets blown out the crank case breather.
