It's only a couple hour job to pull both heads, wire brush piston/heads
and reinstall.

| Anyone ever tried the "steam cleaning" trick to remove carbon? Water vapor is introduced through the carb. or other inlet opening while the engine is running. The idea is, I guess, that the water vapor turns to steam in the combustion chamber and removes the carbon. Never done it myself, but an old-time shade-tree mechanic friend of my late Dad swore it worked. Cheers, Charlie |
