I like the heavy action and the strong clutch. On long rides where I'm
gonna slab or cross a desert, I use one of those plastic throttle
rockers. But then I'm not using the original throttle either. I'm using
the JC whitney single cable throttle into the stock splitter. It also
has a friction adjust, but you gotta remember that the drag works both
directions.

I have to agree with Andy. I had done everything I could think of to
ease the throttle action on my Eldo with the original throttle. New
cables, disassembly of the throttle assy to clean, careful routing, etc.

When I was rebuilding my Eldo over the winter, I decided to put a 2c on

the bike, and eliminate that splitting of cables and the mechanical
splitter contraption under the tank. A significant difference. It's
lighter and smoother. Glad I changed.
