Can't remember...how many times and when should I go
through the re-torquing of the head after putting on a new
head gasket? I remember you're spposed to do it after the
first 50 miles (boy it was loose!). Not sure after that.
I did remember to leave the valve clearances a little
loose. I added .001" to the normal clearances. Is this
enough? Just checking.
BTW, the bike leaked oil like a chickenwire boat the first
time I rode. I got pretty pissed...until I saw the top
head bolt cover laying in the floor. Forgot to put it
back on! Duuuhhhhh. I hope that is the only thing
leaking anyway. I'll ride tomorrow AM and find out.
