Yup, That's where I'd look. Probably a bit o' crap in the carb. I'd check
the circuit for the accel. pump.
Might also be sucking crap up blocking the main from the bottom of the bowl
on the initial get up and go twist of the throttle..

Thanks all for the help! I guess I could see those answers coming :-)

My Ambo2 took a hit with a batch of salt on my move south last Feb. I
cleaned her up best I could but I never got to dealing with the little
things...like those valve cover bolts. I guess I was too busy enjoying
riding in the mountains.

Believe it or not the bike handles pretty good in the twisties. My only
problem is I can't get her over too much before I drag the pipes. Keeps me
within the limits I suppose.

One thing that has appeared on the bike recently is a very minor bit of
hesitation. I like to refer to it as "bogging down" when I initially rotate
the throttle on. Anyone want to guess what it is before I solve this
problem? She starts on half a turn every time. Idles well on choke and once
warm. Will run up to 70 easily. Once through that little bit of initial
hesitation accelerates well. Plugs are nice and tan. Timing advance
mechanism is working. No backfiring or spitting when I decel.

My thinking is that there is either a little crud in the carbs or the timing
is a hair off. Any other thoughts?

OK...I'm slow getting into the garage this morn. Thanks all for the input.

Regards...Ian

Ian,
As Chris mentioned, you can very possibly find these at a full service
hardware store. Or, you can go to Eish Enterprises who I know has them,
or to MG Cycle, who I am pretty sure has them.
