 Paul NOTE :

"I like any speed that suits the road and the traffic. "
The speed limit is 45 and the traffic averages 50 . On the e way most
of the traffic is running 80 ,me too ! Saw a cruiser that was content at
65 that was in the way of an 18 wheeler going 80 most of us know of
similar happenings--- Eeech!

Even at 65 the dad blasted trucks sure tug at the bars :-) Of course
if you run 65 around here it's the trucks BEHIND you that you keep an
eye on ! The Eldo loves to cruise at 80 That's what they put 5th gear
in there for :-) . I like any speed that suits the road and the traffic.

CROTCH ROCKET ? They go 185+ !!

When I feel the need to get shelter I guess the ol pick up fills the
bill for me. Just a difference in preference I guess.

I never go over 65 so never bothered me. No need to go fast on a Loop.
Cruiser not crotch rocket!

I kinda have the same attitude. Never has a shield or fairing in the
past, now that I.m gettin to be an ol'fart I thought I might try one.
Can't stand em in the summer. I'll try when it gets cold and see if
the

buffetting is worth putting up with in exchange for the cold. Last
year

Tom took a huge rock out on the 401 in Ontario . Busted his shield
big

time. Of course the estimated trajectory would have taken out a huge
piece of his $2000 paint job and/or put a huge hurt on the jewelry
usually found at the aft end of the tank!
I know Tom was very glad he was running a shield that day. I just
can't handle the noise and the buffeting from other
vehicles,especially

 at 80+ mph
'Sides that the wind is a whole lot better without the barndoor on
the

 front of the bike.:-))

Yeah, I'll put it on for long trips, and in November for the cold
season

other than that I don't really enjoy it. The Wixom is a BIG
behemoth of

 a
fairing and I feel like I should be wearing a cape and a bat mask
when I

 run
it.

Atta boy Kev , I threw mine in the trash and gave one to Tom. The
Cal

III came with a shield and I have been trying to like it ,but it
looks

like it too will be at the curb. Contrivances of some folks who
would

really rather be driving a car I figger !

Nope, not me, The fairing is sitting in a closet.
