Well, as I feared most, that metallic noise/clacking while riding has
come to fruition. Started up the Ambo this morn to take her to work,
started fine, settled into a steady idle, suited up, hopped on, revved
the throttle, holy s--t, what the f--k is that horrible noise!!! (sorry
about the language, I'm a bit pissed right now). As the engine revved,
a horrific clatter/banging noise is coming from the bottom end, under
the cylinder heads. I put my head down and it sounds like it's coming
from near the oil sump/pan area. What the clack is it???? Did that
cheap seal swell stuff screw up something? Pulled the piece of
"Patience" back in the garage and pondered selling the thing and buying
a Beemer again, or getting a loan out to spend some more money I don't
have on this 71 Guzzi nightmare I bought 2+ years ago thinking I got a
good deal. HAH!

OK, I have vented, now where do I go from here? Is it possible
something worked loose on the crank or something, need engine basics
101.

Dave Otis, are you open to working on the Ambo for me? I can trailer it
down and you can have it for 9 months to a year like the other 2
mechanics whom did nothing for me! I want it fixed right this time, and
you are the right man and closest man for the job! Please e-mail me or
I can give you a call this eve.
