Andy, and all, I live in Wichita, KS. I used to have a great dealer but
according to him, the distributor tried to force him to floor-plan too much
inventory, so he bailed. This has been a few years ago, and I haven't talked
to him much since. He was always very helpful, he would say "it's just
nuts and bolts, you can do it" . I refurbished a V65SP about 8 years ago for
my first ex-wife. (yes, I have two ex's). Anyway, the 650 came out very
nice. My goal for the Eldo is good rideability, good looks (not necessarily
a show winner), and a fun classic goose.
All I have done so far is have the cylinders sleeved for 1000 cc's, and VW
pistons fit. I don't plan on putting tons of miles on the bike as I
neverdone that in my past. Anyway, thanks for the welcomes, and I look
forward to getting underway with this project, it's sat for too long.

67 v700 parts bike
74 Eldo project
78 SP1000 daily ride
