A new coffee shop opened in my neighborhood (literally). The Time Warp
Tea Room, 1209 North Central, Knoxvegas, has an interior decor entirely
devoted to vintage motorcycles, with a trials Triumph Cub and a roadrace
CB175 (maybe 305) Honda in the front windows, and a hand-shift Indian
inside.
The owner wallpapered the place (a cool old building) with Cycle News
pages (looks better than it sounds) and lots of road racing memorabilia,
motorcycle racing prints, an Evel Kneivel pinball machine, etc. We
walked in and were amazed. Hours are 8:00am - 9:00pm Mon-Sat.
Currently he serves coffees, cappuchinos, smoothies, lattes etc., and
pastries, bagels and other sweets. Soups and other menu items to come.
Large screen TV w/cable and a collection of moto-videos. Bike parking
on the sidewalk is encouraged. It's like our own Appalachian Fuel Cafe!
