Hey Keith,
I got booted off the list but I was reading about your plight on whether to
fix or sell your bike.

I have a purple heart in the "old bike blues" dept. My bike gave me a lot
of trouble for a long time. I didn't know what the hell I was doing with my
Ambo. I learned a lot on this list and from Guzziology and MAGNOC tips book
and other stuff and from just fiddling with the AMbo. I even learned from
talking to guys sellin Guzzi stuff on Ebay. I have been rewarded for
sticking with my Ambo. Just this past weekend I finally gave it a real tune
up and it actually runs better! Ian, Andy, Charlie and a lot of other guys
here just said, 'hang in there'. The jap bikes are more reliable, no
question. I just test rode a 1989 CBR 600. The thing was flawless. And
that was the problem for me, I don't like flawlessness. I get tempted now
and then but in the end I stay with the Guzzi. Just some of my thoughts on
the subject. Bob, 1969 Ambo
