Paul,

Well, I didn't join the military, but having to deal with
2 teenagers (boy 18 and girl 16), a 2 year hitch in the
military is starting to look good.
I had plans on doing a "learn as you go" backyard
restoration, not concours but a nice looking rider.
Realistically, I don't have the time, dealing with a junior
and senior in high school, especially with college looming
in the future and all the stuff that goes with getting
them there and getting them thru. When both are
otta here I will have the time and energy to break it
down and do it right. I am afraid that if I start it now
it will remain in pieces for too long and languish in the
barn. I don't wanna do that.

What I ought to be doing is reviewing my manuals and
getting the work space ready. I have never attempted
something like this, but after reading the responses
to Keith Ruff's ordeal with Patience I will attempt it.
I learn something from all of you more experienced
loopframe wrenches everyday. The daily posts are
very helpful to a neophyte like me, and the efforts
put in by the people that post on a routine basis
do not go unappreciated. So thanks to all of you
for your input. I wish I could contribute more in the
way of technical advice, but if anyone has to depend
on my expertise, they are in a world of shit..
Thanks again.....

Todd

Todd,

Yeh joined the military just after I got her and never got the chance to take her with me anywhere. Once I got out I drained the tank, flushed it really good, drained the oil and replenished it threw a good battery in and fired her up. No problem. :)
