The only clearance issue is the rear fender support. If you just move it
down or up (don't remember which way) an inch or so it will be fine. or I
could just leave it off and I shouldn't have a problem. As for using a
generator, everyone has a generator. I like different and I won't be
"hacking" up the frame to make things fit either.

 Hey Loopers,
Been gone for a while due to much business
travel-hope to get back on track soon!

On the T-3 engine/loop frame incompatibility...I was under the
impression that there might be an interference with the alt. cover & the
front fender. Might want to investigate that prior to hacking up your
frame.
I still like the looks of the belt cover & generator....real agricultural,
and trendy- just like the oil head BMWs. Never heard of anybody not having
enough generator on their loop to keep up with the load. Get the
pullyadapter!

As for the set screw holding the u-joint carrier bearing: Instead of
trying to bear down on the outer race with the screw, why not locate the
screw(s) so it emerges at the snap ring groove. You could put a point on
the
screw, so as it was tightened, the champher on the screw would bear on the
edge of the bearing, forcing it back into it's seat.

I'd like to hear more about personal experiences with the Total Seal
"Gapless" rings. Can't imagine they could cost much more than OEM Guzzi
items. Are the OEM items cast iron? If so, Hastings can probably match up
any machine-inexpensively.

With respect to aligning the stripes on side covers & tool
boxes......
The eldo pictured (Epco Exhaust link) is an original 9000 mile machine
with
original finish. I would assume that's the way (at least on that machine)
they came from the factory.

The fellow wanting the windshield, if you want to peddle the Wixom
bags, I'd be interested. Please contact off-line at jum-@hotmail.com

Thanks for the bandwidth-hope to contribute more often in the future
