Hi, list. My Ambo is sporting new Moto Guzzi tank
decals from John Prusnek. They were easy to apply and
look good - even my wife says so. Maybe now people
will stop asking me what year my BMW is.

I also re-adjusted my carbs using the infamous
chopstick method. I was surprised that they were out
of balance. The chopsticks work better then doing it
with my gauges or my fingers. It pulls away from a
stop smoother then ever.

I recommend both the decals and the chopsticks.

A question: although neither the honk of the
uni-filtered carbs nor the bark of the rusty exhaust
bother me, the mechanical noise of the motor is rather
loud if I am wearing my open face helmet, especially
when I put on the fairing. Guzziology mentions some
rubber dampers that were used on small blocks to
lessen the ringing of the cooling fins, and says that
they can be fitted to big blocks as well. Has anyone
tried these? Do they make much of a difference?

-Mike (69 Ambo)
