One way to do the 2ls rear brake is to disconnect the front arm and just use the rear one and make a single leading shoe out of it.

The cush drive is a great addition. Take out half the pairs of
cush-drive wedges and/or drill them for even more cush. Just pulled my
driveline apart after 50,000 miles since I last greased it (80,000
total), and all the splines looked good. Part of the reason for the lack
of wear, I believe, is because of the cush drive.

The only downside is the brake. If you set it ups so that it actually
brakes, it locks almost instantly. Set it up any other way, and it's
equally worthless. Also, unless you have a disc brake up front, don't do
this mod if you live in a hilly region. That gives you all 2ls brakes,
which don't work at all in holding the bike on a hill.
