Depending on your plater, the cost difference might be a wash on parts
that still can be obtained new. However, sometimes the Italian plating
ain't so hot. I bought a pair of new headlight "ears" for my T3 when I
was building it, and in three years (garaged) both began to flake and
peel. A good plater here would do a better job.
