Help!!! I agreed to swap brake cables with Andy Hill, as I put K&N superbars
on my recent acquisition '71 Ambassador, removing the police bars. As I was
removing the cable from the backing plate, the threaded casting area broke
off a section! :-( I looked at the piece and noticed green loctite (stud and
bearing grade). Obviously, the previous owner did this cute repair job.I'm
glad I discovered this now, instead of when pulling on the brake lever going
down the road! I don't want to weld it back up, but will do so if need
be........I'd prefer to pick up another backing plate. Anyone have a spare
out there collecting dust?? Thanks.
