On the rear fender, my guess would be the license plate bracket and/or
side reflectors, but those are higher up. On front, if you are talking
about the front most sides it is the reflectors, if the back most near
the gen belt cover, could be the fender brace that has 2 bolts going
into the fender, then over to the forks where they also bolt on.
