The lower holes on the rear fender are for the European license plate
mounts, Mine had a couple of round rivets that fill the holes but one fell
out. I went to a hardware store and picked up a chrome hole plug to cover
the holes. As for the front fender, the hole I think you are talking about
is for the cable guides for the 4 leading shoe. Each side had a cable. That
is my guess anyway

Subject: fender holes? What for?

I picked up my paintwork tonight and it's beautiful, so nice I fear
putting it on the bike! But I have a couple of questions.

In the rear of the rear fender, ther are two holes to mount the fender
to the "loop" of the frame, then a bit lower are three holes for the
taillight bracket, and then below them three more, a bit smaller? What
goes there?

Also, on the front fender there are two fairly large holes on the upper
sides of the fender to the rear of the vertical mounting tabs. One is
for the rubber brake cable stay, but what goes in the other?

TIA
