I wanted to do a before & after dyno run on the race bike to see what kind of
increase the upcoming changes make. If you want to see the numbers scroll
down, or if you want to make some educated guesses before you peek, here are
the specifics.
Stock 750cc Ambassador motor (bought used, unknown mileage)
Stock carbs with velocity stacks, no filters, 155 mains
Lightened flywheel
Rerouting the headers for ground clearance lengthened them by about 4"
Slip on muffler baffles gutted but endplate retained for a semblance of a
silencer
Five speed gear box with matching 8/37 rear drive

35 ft-lbs of torque at 3,000 rpms, climbed to a maximum of 40 ft-lbs at 4,650
rpm.
Torque stayed above 35 ft-lbs until 6,000 rpms.
Horse power peeked at 6,200 rpm with 40.4 HP at the wheel.
Speed in forth gear at 7,000 rpm was 97.74 mph.
