Years ago I worked at a shop with a Dyno. We HAD to put the Ambo on it.
There was alot wrong with the bike back then, Within in the following month
of the dyno pull I replaced the pieces that some would try to call a clutch,
thottle cables, u Joint, top end, the list goes on. I have been wanting to
put it on again since the resto. to compare, just hasn't been at the top of
the list I guess. Anyways, this is what it did:

Max HP - 28.2 @ 5400rpm
Max Torque - 29.4 @ 4900 rpm
Top Speed on this run was 80 mph

Thanks for the dyno info, Ken: very interesting!

I was beginning to wonder if the mail made it out, since no one up till now
had a comment.

One thing I failed to mention is that the dyno guy cut the bike off at the
end of the final pull & let the bike coast. The computer software compares
how fast the rear wheel slows down, to the acceleration during the pull.
What
you end up with is the HP expended in turning the rear wheel. In my case the
drag from gear box, u-joint, drive shaft, rear drive & so on was 6.1 HP. The
dyno guy was quite suppressed & impressed that a drive shaft bike had this
low of a number.

The 700cc motor I started out with had 35HP, so I gained 5 HP from those
50cc.
