$150? for everything? That's amazing. I dropped $200 on my frame alone.
Steve Ford did it before his shop closed (which someone bought and is
supposed to reopen with Steven manning the shop but is taking forever). He
is actually pretty cheap for the northeast.

Matt:
I spent around $150 for powdercoating on my each of my Ambos, this
included the frame and 26 pieces, which included fork covers and legs (mask
the inside where the axle goes through and the threads on top), headlight
shell, battery tray, etc. I handed everything over stripped, sandblasted
and ready to go. You do have to go over with the guy who does it what you
want masked, like threads and threaded holes and such. You'll still have to
remove it from places on the frame, battery tray, headlight shell, and rear
fender to make sure that you have a good electrical ground throughout your
system.
On my second Ambo, I had them go over the black with clear powdercoat;
it gave it a shinier finish and the black was blacker, rather than having
greyish overtones. The drawback was that it was a bit thicker.

anybody want to give me a ballpark or figures on what they spent, or have
been quoted to powdercoat thier frame. I am also thinking about coating
the fork legs, swingarm, headlight supports ...

thanks Matt in MI
