I almost had a heart attack looking at Kendon's website for the price of the single bike trailer. $1700.00!!!
Much rather ride the bike and use that money for another bike or parts.
Just my 2 cents.

Sent my Eldo tranny to Moto International a couple of years ago when I was having trouble with assembly after replacing the return spring. I was trying to leave for a dirt bike ride in Mexico and the damn tranny would not go together without binding. Seems to me the cost was a little over $100 which included re-shimming, new seals, and some helicoils. It was waiting for me when I returned from Mexico about 10 days later. Cost to ship from CO to WA was not too bad and was done thru my friendly neighborhood Mail Boxes Etc. Bottom line: if you are in doubt. let the pros do it. 15K later, it's still leak free and shifts very nicely.

Trailers - yep, Kendon wins. I have a 2 rail (the ONLY way to go) and have used it for 10 years. It sits (actually, stands) in the garage next to the car and has the same footprint as that of a motorcycle. No more trailer being a rusty mess parked outdoors. Also, when loading a large bike, the partner/helper can stand on a smooth surface of the trailer deck - much better that that of a normal 3 rail bike trailer.

My $.02
