How is everything in Arizona? Hopefully warmer than here in the
northeast! On your seat purchase, sounds like a fair price. I sold my
original dual seat for $85 on e-bay. Was in VG shape, the Moto Guzzi
silk screen had faded out though. Seat pan was excellent. Probably
should have kept it looking back now, but went with the original solo
springer and bought a Harpers pillion pad for the rear -only mounted
when necessary. Cam sold his dual on ebay for $125, his was in nice
shape too. As for the stress cracks, don't have those YET, but I did
notice during the disassembly reassembly process that the fender was
hard to get aligned with the bolt holes near the battery, had to screw
the bolts in rather than slide them right through the holes. Perhaps
the holes just weren't drilled in the exact spots. Will keep a check on
my fender for stress cracks. Looking forward to warmer weather, I'm not
as manly as JB when it comes to temps lower than 40, now there's a die
hard!
