Hi Ian,
Yep, the main bearings go with the rest of the bits. I've got a couple of other sets for my own use so it only makes sense to keep the crank and it's bearings together.

I thought (fantasized) about attending the National this year... Kinda' kill two birds with one stone sort of deal. The idea was to fly to SoCal and do whatever repairs the only intact bike (V7 Sport) of the three I just bought needs, then ride up the coast to WA and the National. Then back east and home - that way there will only be two more to bring home then. But with only two weeks vacation time and some of that already taken for VMD @ Mid-Ohio, Guzzis in the Blue Ridge, etc., there just wouldn't be enough time left.

SD is still a good distance from here, but it may be time to "just do it." There should be at least three bikes in my stable capable of the trip by then. Still the same old two weeks of vacation though until 2007 (my sixth year with the company), then I get three. Sounds like a great trip - pencil me in! Cheers,

Charlie

Charlie...you're the best. I wasn't sure if you were prepared to give up the
main bearings.

Ed is going to come up this weekend and we will blast the engine case clean
and get it ready for assembly. Will be so good to see the engine come
together. I need to get working on tearing down the frame but I need to
create space to put all the bits and pieces.

Yeah...been cold here too. They say that it will get into the 50's this
weekend. We'll likely head out for a short ride. Wish you were hear to share
in the fun.

By the way...did you see my post about riding to the 2004 National in SD?
Put it in your plans...if you can. I intend on doing this ride. If we start
planning now I bet we can get a decent group together.
