I noticed that the exhaust side lifter for each cylinder was pitted, the
intake side looked fine. The cam didn't show anything beyond the
ignorable 'unusual color patterns' mentioned in Guzziology.

An interesting finding, Both lifter/follower faces on one cylinder were pitted and the other side are perfect. The cam is unblemished. Let's see, were the blemished ones the ones with pressure on them againest the cam lobes or were they between strokes will little pressure that let moisture hit em? Later, JU |
