Bill,

As quoted from Guzziology:

"... Although the V7 tank looks similar to the later tank of the later
Loop-frame models, the later tank doesn't fit the V7. The late frame was
extended just behind the steering head, making it possible for the wider
tank to fit. It's possible to relieve the upper triple clamp and the
instrument console to make clearance at some unknown reduction in the
integrity the fork's structure...."

Sorry to beat this to death, just want to make sure.. a V700 tank will
fit on an Eldo/Ambo but an Eldo/Ambo tank will not fit on a V700. Ian..
I do have Guzziology at home... to be honest.. I didn't bother to look,
but will check it tonite... thanks

I think if you look in Guuziology it is mentioned that the 700 frame
was a
bit shorter and would not accomodate the other tanks.

Ambo and eldo are the same, V700 and 1st year ambo are different.
I think it has more to do with the headstock on early V700s not
being able to accept the later ambo/eldo tanks without interference.

Could somebody give me the drill on what tanks can go where.. as in..
interchanging Eldos, Ambos and 700's.. I know there's a
no-fit in there

 somewhere? Bill
