Bill,

We could try my starter on your Eldo if you want. Mark rebuilt it for me and
it's still in the box. Then we can see if there is any improvement and go
from there.

Been discussed before, you say? Can you stand another go-round? I
recently removed and cleaned up my starter when the solenoid failed. I
had previously cleaned up all starter connections and ground thinking
this combination of maintenance would improve starting.. it didn't. I
have a pushbutton starter on the handlebar. The effect when pushing the
button is a 1 or 2 second delay, followed by a healthy spin. Is this
the deal where you use a relay?.. and if so, don't suppose someone could
walk me thru it? I'm obviously not a electrical whiz.. if not relay
related (maybe I've got that mixed up with some other issue).. should I
just start by replacing the button..? thanks in advance, Bill
