Hi Mike,
I don't use anything, just go after it with Autosol or something similar (by hand) when it gets to looking dull, usually once a year. I guess it's my way of bonding with my Ambo. :-) I've never had it turn brownish, could be the alloy Yamaha uses is different. There are products meant for the job and claim not to yellow, chip, crack, fade, etc. Eastwood's offering is "Diamond Clear" and is supposed to do all of the above and be "resistant to fuels and temperatures up to 300 degrees F." I've never tried it, so have no idea if it lives up to those claims. Cheers,

Charlie

Charlie, after the polishing do you need to put something on the alum to
protect it? did this once on a yamaha xs650 engine and it all turned dull,
brownish, just didn't last. looked good till I rode it a couple of years.
