Won't work. Like you said, convert stuff is only good to convert geeks.
Converts have different splines on thier driveshafts and reardrives.
Different lenths, too. A stock 4spd would NOT join up to a convert
reardrive using either of the two driveshafts, unless you cut them in
half and welded the two corrosponding pieces back together. Alot of work
and a dubious driveshaft for the v-8 hp and torque, me thinks!
