Thanks for the reply. That is exactly what I have been wondering about.
Hopefully someone on the list who is in the assembly stage can measure the
distance for me and let me know. Would hate to get everything assembled and
things start to bind.

Interesting question. If I understand your situation correctly, the
swingarm
 pivot and hence the u-joint will now sit .375 closer to the tranny. So,
the
 question is, is there enough spline on the transmission so the the u-joint
can move freely without preloading the rear (output shaft) bearing on the
transmission as the swingarm moves up and down.
I have a Eldo with the u-joint out but I dont know how soon I could get it
back together without the rubber cover to see how much travel is left on
the
 spline.
I guess the biggest question really is: What is the location of the
swingarm
 pivot distance from the rear of the output shaft on the transmission on a
standard bike vs. yours.
