The Eldo I'm doing now is getting the most exstensive restoration of any

I'd never disparage someone for building a rider, but there is a
difference between a restoration and getting something roadworthy.

You are correct, sir!

I will be eating my words next year when I 'restore' my Eldorado
California Special. <chome fenders, LAPD, single drum brake 1973>

I plan on stripping the bike, and then re-assemble with nearly all new
parts. LOTS of chrome, too. Professional paint job, NO powder
coating...(it's a personal thang!)New wires.

Speaking of chrome, my original eldo, Blue Floyd, must have been a show
bike early in it's life. Dig this, it has chromed fork tubes, brake
plate, kick stand, centerstand, swing arm, valve covers, gen belt cover,
gen covers, rear brake stay, the disk for the non-brake side of the
front wheel, and prolly a few more things I can't think of right now.
Some of these tasty bits are going on the LAPD.

I already got new mufflers($200), a big police windsheild(free from a
freind for my birthday) and a swell police saddle. THIS bike will be
'choise'!

I will be sending lots of stuff, like forks, to Mark E. for quality
repairs(shameless plug for a discount) and everything will be done
RIGHT!

It doesn't matter how much I throw into this bike as I ain't gonna sell
it, never! And when I'm too old to hold it up, I'll throw a sidehack on
it!

See you guys in the Poor House! Save me a chair!!
