My yearly income is less than 30 grand, so I do a lot of "creative financing" to make the purchase once I find a great deal. Big jumps appear in credit card balances, the Audi (15 yrs. old w/ 292,000 miles) waits for tires with tread, the house patiently waits for new windows and siding, etc. With no "significant other" currently in my life or children to support I'm free to spend as I see fit. Before I got married I had three nice bikes - a Benelli 650 Tornado, a Morini 350 K2 and a Guzzi Mille GT. All but the Morini (it didn't run) were sold off to pay bills she ran up during the marriage. Six months after she left I bought the '69 Ambo and was hooked. The Morini was fixed and sold so I could buy my second Ambo, a '71 basketcase, from Mike Skaggs. I'm just in too deep, it's too late to turn back now. :-)

I can appreciated how hard it is for guys with a wife, kids, car payments, mortgage, etc. to afford a bike and to keep it running. Maybe one day I too will once again find someone to share my life with, start a family and have to curb my spending, until then I'm making up for lost time! :-) Cheers,

Charlie.

I know Joe, that's about the ONLY significant deal I've ever come across. Just wish I had the knack to find these barn queens you guys seem to pick up all the time. I guess it's just harder for us poor folks. :)
