Well folks....I was privy to an awesome event today. The rebirth of a Loop.
Ed picked this bike up in pieces and resurrected it from a torn down state.
Most would have parted it out but Ed decided that having two Loops in his
garage wasn't enough and decided to bring this one back to life.
So this morning we double checked everything and fired the ol girl up.
The interesting thing was that initially she would only run on one cylinder.
As we went through the basics we determined that the cylinder was receiving
gas. We decided to swap the plugs and now the bike would not run at all. We
took plugs from one of his other bikes, installed them and on half a turn
the bike roared to life and ran strong. A little tweaking with the carb
balancers and she was idling perfectly.
Ed says that if all goes well she will do her maiden rally to Virginia in
June.
