I have some air gaps in my fuel lines all the time. It doesn't seem to hurt
anything. Gas still flows by the gaps. As long as you haven't got a
pressurized system and as long as the bike is running ok, I wouldn't worry
about it. I bet if you remove the cap from the bottom of the carb, you'll
see that indeed the fuel is flowing (unless you have a clogged vent in the
cap).

| Ventured out to the garage last eve to replace the tranny gasket for the 2nd time, hope it works. During disassembly of the battery/tray, I noticed my petcocks were still on, but there was no fuel in the upper hoses, just the lower portion. Had this problem several months ago and rerouted the fuel lines. I also cleaned the vent holes on the carbs at that time and all was well.
