I have some air gaps in my fuel lines all the time. It doesn't seem to hurt
anything. Gas still flows by the gaps. As long as you haven't got a
pressurized system and as long as the bike is running ok, I wouldn't worry
about it. I bet if you remove the cap from the bottom of the carb, you'll
see that indeed the fuel is flowing (unless you have a clogged vent in the
cap).

Ventured out to the garage last eve to replace the tranny gasket for the
2nd time, hope it works. During disassembly of the battery/tray, I
noticed my petcocks were still on, but there was no fuel in the upper
hoses, just the lower portion. Had this problem several months ago and
rerouted the fuel lines. I also cleaned the vent holes on the carbs at
that time and all was well. Since then, Andy has had the carbs
disassembled and cleaned, and the lines look fine. Why is it fuel won't
flow?
