Do you really need cream? Fill your tank with gas and won't that stop oxidation?

I had a similar problem after using Cream Tank liner. It took it a year to develop. I had to clean the tank out, because the tank lining was coming loose and clogging the petcocks. I will never use thart stuff again! Greg
