I bought MANY parts from Sal ,years ago. Always fair and exactly as
represented. I bought all of his older BSA factory service manuals and
bulletins. Wish I still had that stuff. Back then I thought I would ride
British forever till I picked up on that first $200 '71 Ambassador. The
Ambo got my attention . My next Guzzi was a 1973 Eldo . Now I'm SOLD!!

Vince,
I was at Sals shop last Summer. Saw some very interesting old bikes
including an Ariel Hunter, scooters I never knew existed and high priced
BMWs. Do you still frequent there? Bob

Subject: Thanks Sal

In 1997 I bought my '73 Eldo from Sal DeFeo from Port Washington Long
Island. He was the former owner of Ghost Motorcycles. Since then I've
learned a lot about these bikes, thanks in no small part to this web
site. I have been reading about all sorts of problems with loopframes,
mostly caused by various forms of neglect. I thought I"d say thanks to
Sal. He sold me a good strong running bike at a fair price. Outside of
regular maintence, tires, etc the only major work has beem a new timing
chain and tensioner. Looking forward to many more good years.
