Ray,

Welcome. I recently purchased a 73 Eldo....a bike that I have always wanted
as well. Do you have the serial numbers? Does it have twin shoe or four
leading shoe brakes?

Regards...Ian

Subject: Eldorado gas tank needed

Hi,
I'm new to the list. Had Guzzis before and just picked up a '73 Eldo,
the Guzzi I've always wanted. So far it is turning out to be a very
correct and low mileage bike that apparently sat for awhile. The one big
problem is the gas tank. It is a civilian tank, which I prefer, but
riddled with holes on the top. I just had it sand blasted today to see
why the top was so thin and spongy feeling. There must be a hundred or
more small holes. Looks like swiss cheese. I can't imagine being able to
save it.
Does anyone have a civilian tank for sale with the correct gas cap? I
don't care what condition the paint is in. Looking for a good structural
tank to be repainted. Ready to buy now so I can get on with the
painting.
Thanks
