John,

I have run my Ambo with and without moly in the lube and haven't noticed
any significant difference either way. One thing that I did to the trans
that DID make a big difference was to perform a careful shimming job
when I rebuilt the trans. I also updated the shifter detent plunger. As
incredible as it may seem, my Ambo actually shifts more smoothly than my
'01 Cal Special, which has the usual "brick in the bucket" first to
second gear transition.

Well....I'm not sure what happened to the moly today? Back to being
a 4 spd!!! I'm sure it hangs on the gears/syncro's/dogs better than
just straight dino oil. But the miracle it performed yesterday
evaporated overnite.

Later,
