Shawn,

Welcome to the list.

Funny how my "Loop life" has been. I lived in Wichita KS for almost five
years but only got into Loops the last year I was there. I met Frank Wedge
(who lives in the area) only after I had departed there. I also lived in New
Port Richey FL for quite a while. Soon after we sold our house there I heard
of a person with a Loop living in the area.

For the longest time I lived in Montreal and hoped that a Looper would come
along. Once again....I left and one appears :-)

I will give you an email address of a person that owns a V700. He lives in
Beloil (just south of Montreal and is a great guy but doesn't ride very
much. I think he just recently told me of another person in the area.

His name is JC Lefebvre. Address is lefe-@globale.net

What brought you to Montreal? Where about do you live? I know someone who
works at IMS. That is in Pointe Claire...right? Not to spoil the beauty of
living in a terrific city but you will hate the roads, go broke licensing
the bike (around $300 I think...not to mention the $50 inspection fee) but
riding a Loop makes it all worth while.

I look forward to hear of your jaunts in the area....Ian

Hi guys,

I have an 73 850 eldo up here in Montreal. My dad got me into guzzi's
just in the past year or so. He helped me find an original unrestored
bike from a guy living on one of the Islands off the coast of Vancouver,
B.C. I have only been out east since the Fall. Now that the coldest
winter of my life is finally over, and my bike has just been uncrated, I
am wondering if there are any guzzi riders in Montreal.

Also, can anyone give me directions on setting up the front brake. I
have never owned drum brakes before as my last bike was a KLR 650 and
before that, a 73 honda 550.

Thanks a lot,
Looking forward to your emails.

shawn
