Hi Rich,

I'm currently using a 110/90-18 Conti Blitz on the front and a 120/90-18
Conti Tour on the rear with good results. They do slow down the steering
a bit but I prefer it that way. The 120 rear may require that the brake
stay be moved to the outside of the mount on the swingarm to clear.

If you want really original tires, I'm told the 4.00-18 Pirelli MT53s
are occasionally available from "Allyn Air" (Ed Allyn?, they advertise
in Walneck's Cycle Trader). Cheers,

Charlie

My inclination is to get 4.00 x 18s as replacement tires for my Eldo,
but I can only find rear tires in this size. Is there a problem with
putting a rear tire on front & back?

I'm open to other suggestions--it looks as though I'd want 110/90 x 18s;

these would lower the bike a little, not a big problem prolly but I'd
rather use the tires the bike was designed to use.
