Take a look at the exploded view of a Del Lorto carb on page 52 of the
Premier 750cc manual (hope you have one). Number 10 points to the
accelerator pump (come to think of it the pump does not have an o-ring on
it, sorry) and number 13 points to the atomizer, that one does have a tiny
o-ring (on the bottom) that seats it in the bowl of the carb and it needs to
seat snugly in the bowl. If you have a worn out o-ring gas gets by when it
shouldn't. Sorry for any confusion. Bob

tell me what accelerator pumps? I had the carbs apart( removed from the
cyl as you suggested, worked well) anyway, I replaced the shutoff needle
valves and enrichener valves. Did not see any accel pumps in there.
 Jason, My 71 also ran rich and wanted to stall at idle. Too much fuel
coming thru because of worn float needles.
 That should not affect your high speed perf though.
