I regret selling my Ambo everyday! Got married and had to sell her to pay
for some of the costs. Maybe I should have sold my blood, a kidney or
something instead. That's why nobody has seen me at any of the rallies. That
will change once I have Daisy done. My advice, stick with it no matter what
and the rewards will start showing themselves soon.

 guy says hey its worth $2,000 and by the time it's done your retired on

 island in the Caribbean. Well maybe not but you get the point.
I think you should just do like I did, owning somewhat finicky bikes
like
 a
 Loop and a Ducati, is to keep the Loop and buy a H@nda or BMW or
something
 
 else so that when it's patience's time of month you always have
something
 to
 ride. Just my unbiased opinion worth the magnetic bits it's written on
;-).

I hear ya, I've been vomiting on this board for 3 years now, y'all have
been putting up with me. I'm on the fence with selling her, which is
why I priced her high on ebay. I've gotten 727 hits as of this morning
with 0 bids. Not sure why some bikes get bidding frenzies, i.e., Moe's
bikes where people run up the bids into the low teens, and why mine has
gotten none (it's not as nice cosmetically as those total restored paint
jobs Moe does but is clean and original, but just as nice mechanically).
Still a few days left though. I am planning on taking a ride up to see
Eric Green, The Guzzi Guy up in Staten Island to see if she is running
her best, I think she still may need some carb tweeking or timing
adjustment. If he gets her running like a bandit, hmmmmm, I may just
have to keep her! Been offered a few trades from Beemer owners, a real
nice 78 Smoke Red R100RS + $2000 for my bike, an 80 Smoke Red R100RT
with 15K original miles on it + $2500 for my bike, or possibly a 90
K100LT all done up for close to equal swap for my bike. Makes me really
think if this is a prime opportunity to get back what I have invested
(around $6K) into this bike, get a nice Beemer, plus cash back in my
pocket. The Beemers are also unique machines, not too many around these
parts, but the Guzzi is super rare. Decisions, decisions. Will keep
you posted.

He owned a late 50's Olds way back when. There was a period of time

 awhile and he was at his breaking point. Just as he was ready to be

 with the "money pit" and sell it off he then went into a long period
where
all the car would do is run. I think I remember him saying that he

 the
car for over two years with no problems whatsoever.

Perhaps you are at that point? You have done just about everything
possible
 to that bike. I am surprised it is not as reliable as many of the
Looper's
bikes.
