What about using one of the aluminum welding rods that only require a
propane torch? Can't remember the name but you always seem them
demonstrated at car shows and the such; welding things to aluminum pop
cans or building up ragged outboard motor prop fins. Doesn't work on
steel but does on just about any alloy.

I've got a few but never have tried them on anything.

Well, i have 4-5 pieces broken off the very 1st fin on the bottom of the
cylinder........not really noticable, but something i would like to change
if i can.

I know of a guy locally that does alminum welding......tried calling his
shop this morning and left a message, but haven't heard back as of yet.
Maybe i can go the repair route and get away with it 8^)
