Oooh, I never did like that chain action throttle. I replaced mine with
a twin cable Daytona model as seen on T models. Soft springs in the VHB
carbs and it is quite a civilized setup.

OK all you experts, why have I had to replace my accelerator cable twice
in the past 2,000 miles? The end that goes into the twist grip was
fraying again. Good thing I caught it. The chain inside the twist grip
is not too healthy looking. Kinda bent up, seems to pull the cable
straight back but when I let up on the twist the cable relaxes against
the guide and I guess this is what caused the wear. Is there any remedy
or do I just have to get a new twist grip? You can't get just the twist
grip chain can you?? Thanks, Bob
