Paul,
Check your build date, some Moto Guzzis that should have been titled
as 73s got titled as 74s, But even that is not a sure sign as Moto Guzzi
assembled bikes with what was available when it came time to put it on. My
brother had an Eldo that was titled as a 74 that was assembled in early to
mid 73, it was one of the first with a timing chain. 2LS, Round tail light,
single pull throttle, Dellortos and a lever on the gas cap, all the marks of
a 73 or before. A lot 74s with 4LS had Amals and most that had a disc brake
had Dellortos, and nearly all of the 74s I have seen had the twist of gas
cap. Mine was built in Oct of 73 and has a disc brake, twist of gas cap, and
a "square Tail light" and is titled as a 74.
The front brake switch manifold is mounted on the top right side of
the lower triple tree and is bolted down through the back side of the
manifold and tree into the block that also accepts the bolt from the
steering damper. The line from the master cylinder hooks to end towards the
center of the bike and the line to the caliper hooks to the outside end and
the switch faces up from the center. Hope this all helps!

This has me confused, as the PO said it came with 2LS drum brake. Maybe
it got swapped out at one time, who knows. I have a nice round one so
thats what I'm going to stay with.
