Shawn,
I have heard, and have actually seen one, that an early 1960s Ford Falcon
regulator will suffice for a Marelli or Bosch regulator. Again, I did buy
one and the size and wire connects did match well. I never did install it
as I found that my regulator was working well and only needed a light
cleaning, which I did with fine emory paper on the contacts. The Ford
regulator cost me $12, cheap enough to try it and see. Best, Bob

Subject: Voltage Regulator Substitute

 Hi all,

Anyone know of a voltage regulator from a Volkswagen or Ford or something
that can be substituted for the bosch system on my 74 eldo? I am way up
in
Canada and I would love not to do the mail order thing for a stock part
since I am itchin to get riding soon.
