I kind of read everything (mostly) that comes by on this list and I
don't contribute much, but these bags are available at Bench Mark
Works (www.benchmarkworks.com). He specializes in pre-1970 beemers.
However, they are spendy at $650 and he has a couple photos.

Have a 71 Ambassador and will be working this winter to restore it.
Mostly sheet metal issues.

Looks like they are made by a company called "Enduro"...no mention of
being made for anything but BMW...but these bags are a perfect fit to
a loop so I know they were made for it...would like to see a picture
of some installed before I go to the trouble...
