I can tell you from painful, youthful (1973!!?!) experience that if you
use the aerosol type cable lube and lubricator on throttle cables, to
lube from the bottom up. I flushed a bunch of gunk into the carbs on my
first motorcycle going from the grip down. The short story includes a
dented float and a long wait for a special order part. Don't ask about
the results of using carb/choke cleaner on a running
two-stroke............
